Rules & Policies of this CAP site

• No Chatting
• Sound can only be used with headphones
• 1 hour is the maximum time frame. As a courtesy, we allow for longer periods of use if the need is evident. Example- OSAP applications, typing essays, school research etc...
• If users cause disruption within the library they will be asked to cease. If disruptions persist, the users will be asked to leave.
• Choice of content accessed is up to the individual user, however pornography, hateful and/or other unsuitable materials are not allowed at this site. Accessing disturbing material may be punished by discontinued access to the CAP site and possibly other CAP sites in the region. If this happens with a child or youth, from then on, they will only be allowed access with the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Since the site is based in a library we are attempting to maintain a friendly partnership with the library and its users, employees and the public. To better achieve this, rules may be established or changed if problems arise.

Note: This CAP site and other CAP sites in the region allow the occasional access from a computer which is not on site. This is to better monitor the CAP site and also provide upkeep to the CAP site computers. This monitor can see what is being accessed via the internet and anything else on the computer being used, so be warned. They are watching you. This aids in enforcing our 5th rule. There is no other intention other than keeping the content which is being accessed, clean and acceptable to view in the public. This however does not ensure acceptable content. That can only be done by the individual users vigilance and will.
