There are many helpful tutorials on the web that are designed to make your searching more efficient. Check out the one at Albany University. Go to Searchenginewatch.com and explore the links to some of the pages. Check out one or two of the Recent Articles. For news explore the Departments and Info in the lefthand column.

Searching Assignment

For class today you are to use the advanced search option to find things using Google. Print out the Advanced Search page. Using the information on the page find answers to the following:

1. Is there a guide or tutorial to improve my parenting skills or to understand stages of child development?

2. How can I plan a trip to Greece and the Greek Islands?

3. Where can I find infomation about managing a hockey team?

4. I need information about redecorating my living room.

5. Where can I download a certain kind of music? (bluegrass, classical, religious)

6. I need information on natural medicine and herbal treatment.

7. Where can I find gardening information on growing tomatoes?
