Internet Searching Strategies
The internet has grown so large now that information searches can produce an overwhelming number of hits. The usual method of searching is to enter keywords into a search engine which then sends a query to its data base linking the results to your keywords. It is not unusual to find several thousand matches for your search criteria. The purpose of this course will be to fine tune the search criteria so that the matches you are given by a search engine closely resemble the information you are looking for.
The course will use information already on the web. Links in the text of the lessons will take you to sites that provide descriptions of search engines and how to use them.
